Sometimes it’s the details that matter

September 20, 2016 by Paul

I love fluffy white towels. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a high maintenance type of a person, quite the opposite in fact, it’s just something that makes a difference to me.

Andaz Hotel Liverpool Street towels

I figure if an organisation spends time and money keeping their towels fluffy, then they probably spend the same amount of time and money on other things that matter. Like staff that care and cleaning behind the back of the toilet.

So far my theory has held true. Check out the towels in a budget hotel, what do you find? Exactly. And again I’m no snob, I stay in these places, I just hate using their towels.

Now why on earth am I rambling on about this?

Firstly because I want to congratulate the Andaz Hotel for their outstanding fluffy white towel selection. And secondly because I want to talk about details.

Details are important

When you come to me and say you want to run a marathon but you’re forever plagued by your hip, knee, or ankle. I look in the finest detail to see exactly why this might be.

If I see a limit in how far you’re able to rotate one hip inwards for example, I know your ability to absorb force through that side will be compromised.

If you’re running for a bus that might not be a problem, but in a marathon you’re going to be landing on that leg over 15,000 times.

A few extra degrees of hip motion can be therefore be the difference between finishing the marathon with a smile on your face, (more or less) or going home injured and frustrated.

Sometimes it’s the details that matter. From fluffy towels to your best marathon, we’ve got you covered.
